In a conventional single pump with simple pipe line, pneumatic or hydraulic governor was used frequently. But, as the capacity of pipe line and the number of pumps increase, great change takes place in the methods of flow control at pump station. In many fields, an algorithm of direct digital control has been put into practice including not only proportion-integration, multi input selector, program and on-off sequence. And, from now on dedicated direct digital control may be put to use more frequently.
